Following my intuition this morning, I started a yahoogroup called "NYC Musician's Well". Basically it's for musicians, bookers, venue owners, and the like to get in contact with each other to book gigs.

Then the coincidence.

I'm associated with NY gay pride because I happen to have a good number of fans in the gay community (straight asian chick singing soul will do that to you, or as they say ~ the drama!!!) so I was asked if I wanted to help out with the booking for acts for next year's gay pride. , um, ok.

As a performer I get a lot of offers to book shows, so I figured I'd start a community where I can help ppl book or get hooked up with bands/musicians/etc. And now I get something as big as booking for Pridefest on my lap.

Sick, isn't it?

It reminds me of yesterday when I contacted Sheila about being my manager and she told me she was thinking the exact same thing about two weeks ago, the same time I had the thought.

While I was in the kitchen having my lunch, I was writing about the Universal deal and something flashed before me. I think I will be emailing them some time soon to touch base to see what's going on with the interview. Something tells me the whole thing was delayed, but still going forward.

And I believe I will have a new job in the very near future.
